Am 4. Oktober eröffnet „Fake – Wie wahr ist die Wirklichkeit?“ in Prüm/Eifel, 15 Uhr

Die Ausstellung ist kuratiert und organisiert von Heidrun van Dörfjes und bringt eine vielfältige Gruppe von Künsterinnen und Künstlern zusammen. Das KünstlerInnen-Kollektiv „Drawing Studio 23“ setzt sich zusammen aus Absolventen der Royal Drawing School, meines Abschluss-Jahrgangs 2023. Uns eint die Liebe zur Zeichnung. Zusammen laden wir ein, über die Kunst neue Perspektiven zu entwickeln und gewohnte Denkstrukturen zu hinterfragen.

Wir finden Illusion auf allen Ebenen, in persönlichen Beziehungen und in der Gesellschaft. Jeder nimmt die Welt auf seine Weise wahr. Und doch glauben wir an die eine Wahrheit. Die KünstlerInnen hinterfragen Wahrnehmung, Deutung, Vorstellung, Wahn.

Es geht um: Illusion & Täuschung, Ordnung & Chaos, Kommunikation & Konfusion, Freier Wille & Desinformation, Emotion & Interpretation, Kollektive und Individuelle Realität und Erfahrung, Wert & Sinn, Bewusstsein & das Unbewusste

On 4 October, ‘Fake – How true is reality?’ opens in Prüm/Eifel, Germany, at 3 p.m.

The exhibition is curated and organised by Heidrun van Dörfjes and brings together a diverse group of artists. The artist collective ‘Drawing Studio 23’ is made up of graduates of the Royal Drawing School, my graduating class of 2023. We are united by our love of drawing. Together, we invite you to develop new perspectives through art and to question familiar ways of thinking.

We find illusion at all levels, in personal relationships and in society. Everyone perceives the world in their own way. And yet we believe in one truth. The artists question perception, interpretation, imagination and delusion.

It's about: illusion & deception, order & chaos, communication & confusion, free will & disinformation, emotion & interpretation, collective and individual reality and experience, value & meaning, consciousness & the unconscious.

Derzeit ist meine Installation „IHR Kreis/HER circle“ in der Ausstellung „Heldinnen/Sheroes“ im Frauenmuseum Bonn zu sehen.

Die Ausstellung läuft noch bis zum 31.12.25. Es sind namhafte Künstlerinnen vertreten, wie Marina Abramovic, Pussy Riot, Selma Selman und Parastou Forouhar.

Der Kreis ist eines der ältesten Symbole der Menschheitsgeschichte. Er wird u. a. assoziiert mit Frieden, Einheit und Gemeinschaft, aber auch mit der weiblichen Kraft und unsere Verbindung zur Erde.

Ein Kreis zentriert, konzentriert auf das Wesentliche. In Verbindung mit den Fahnen, oben und unten verbunden, schafft er einen besonderen Raum, der Sicherheit und Kraft gibt.

In jeder Frau liegt das Potenzial, Großes zu bewirken - so wie die Fahnen sich mühelos im Raum bewegen, durch einen Windhauch, ein Vorübergehen.

Es liegt an uns, an jeder und jedem Einzelnen, mutig dem Verlangen nach tatsächlicher Freiheit zu folgen. Statt Rettung im Externen zu suchen, gilt es, an einer neuen Welt zu arbeiten, in der keine Heldin/kein Held mehr gebraucht wird. Der Weg der neuen Heldin geht über das Innen.

IHR Kreis bietet Raum und Aufmerksamkeit für neue HeldINNEN.

The circle is one of the oldest symbols in human history. Among other things, it is associated with peace, unity and community, but also with feminine power and our connection to the earth.

A circle centers, concentrates on the essentials. In conjunction with the flags, the connection between above and below, it creates a special space that provides security and strength.

In every woman lies the potential to achieve great things - just as the flags move effortlessly in space, through a breeze, a passing by.

It is up to us, each and every one of us, to courageously follow the desire for real freedom. Instead of seeking salvation externally, we need to work towards a new world in which a heroine/hero is no longer needed. The path of the new heroine goes through the inside.
